Just read that Tom Petty has been pronounced dead after being found at his Malibu home, likely due to cardiac arrest.

Looks like a retraction has been issued and now they can only confirm that Petty is in the hospital still receiving medical attention.

His manager confirmed that he died at 8:40 PM PST today.

Huge loss for me. Been enjoying his music since the mid-70's. One of my all time favorites. If you don't know his music just listen to Rinning down a dream. Great tune
