I guess this will more or less be a "which team do I more want to see lose" situation for most Duck fans. This one's easy for me: Lose, Huskies!

Unfortunately, we really need UW to win because if we beat them it will pad our SOS. We have some tough games on our schedule with MSU, Utah, ASU, USC, Stanford, etc, but we also have OSU, WSU, EWU, Georgia State and Colorado, so every win by our conference opponents helps us out.

While every Pac-12 victory in an OOC game helps the conference, I don't think we "need" the Huskies to beat BSU tonight (even if I didn't know that things look pretty grim for UW as I write), and I have a hard time imagining that UW, OSU or WSU are going to be very good this year. If the Ducks win the conference with one or no losses, especially with the "cred" the Ducks have earned nationally over the past five years at least, they should easily make the playoff. I think it also bears repeating that we're no longer in the BCS era where there's a "formula" (that includes SOS) to worry about.SuperDuck wrote:Unfortunately, we really need UW to win because if we beat them it will pad our SOS. The huskies would be just a run of the mill win on our schedule.whether they have 4 wins or 6 wins is irrelevant IMO.

Wow---2 field goals and a punt return for a touchdown. Husky offense not able to put the ball in the end zone against BSU.
Not to worry. The Huskies are a young team.

All these early games by Pac-12 teams is not exactly making the conference look good. I'd say the conference is in for a down year with only SC, ASU, Oregon, and maybe Stanford being in the top 25 at season's end.

Don't worry, Coach Pete is an offensive genius.

Lots of people are predicting UCLA to be the conference champs...greenyellow wrote:All these early games by Pac-12 teams is not exactly making the conference look good. I'd say the conference is in for a down year with only SC, ASU, Oregon, and maybe Stanford being in the top 25 at season's end.
The conference is top heavy this year.

Didn't watch the game, but noticed that too. I guess on the upside, Boise didn't score once on them in the 2nd half?cmmadness wrote:Wow---2 field goals and a punt return for a touchdown. Husky offense not able to put the ball in the end zone against BSU.

Oh, and in the highlights, I spied a Tony Washington bow after Boise scored their first touchdown. I saw no flags. Yes, I'm still bitter...

Correct. BSU was up 17-0 and almost Coug'd it.UOducksTK1 wrote:Didn't watch the game, but noticed that too. "The term "Coug'd it" taking on a new and special meaning today.
