Is Kansas State close to a decision?

Sources have told FootballScoop that K-State has conducted a wide-ranging search for Bill Snyder’s replacement, with as many as seven candidates on the list to be interviewed.

But North Texas head coach Seth Littrell, mentioned by many in Manhattan throughout the fall as the top candidate, has withdrawn from the search, indicating K-State is nearing a hire — and sources told FootballScoop Taylor is zeroing in on a familiar name in North Dakota State head coach Chris Klieman.

Sounds like KSU had Littrell but he walked away after they said he couldn't bring in an entirely new staff, meaning they likely wanted him to at least keep Snyder's son on staff.

They were gonna force him to hire Daddy Snyder's little boy? Gross, I don't blame him for bailing. I wouldn't want anything to do with K-State if I was a coach looking to move up, at least not while old man Snyder is still alive and looking over your shoulder.

I wonder how many potential hires will let Snyder's kid be a deal breaker.

Bet he's just waiting for a better option down the road.

Sounds like FSU is hiring Kendall Briles from Houston as their new OC. Looks like slick Willy will be abandoning his play "lethal simplicity" offense along with his morals.

How is Kendall even still coaching?

Are you thinking of Art Briles? Kendal is his son but I don't think he had much to do with the scandal at Baylor
