Wow, surprised his first HC gig is at a place like Cal. Good for him. I imagine Tosh will be his DC so you can expect some shenanigans when the Ducks play them.

It'll be interesting to see who he'll go after for his staff.

Interesting. I think despite him being a west coast guy, that he is better suited to the big 10. He has had great defenses in mountain West, SEC and big ten but struggled in the PAC against all the spread teams.

According to the Duck Football beat writer at the Register-Guard, looks like a couple former UO coaches could be joining Wilcox.

Interesting move. We've been watching Wilcox from afar and wondering if he will end up being Oregon's head coach someday. Now that he has taken this gig, it seems less likely. I don't think he would make a lateral move if he is a success, and if he is a failure, I don't think the ducks will want him. Still, I loved him as a player, and it's great to see Oregon guys getting all these coaching gigs. Maybe he hires Musgrave as his OC (if the Broncos don't hire him first).

Denver sounds like they're hiring former SD coach Mike McCoy to be their OC so that job is out for Musgrave.Phalanx wrote:Interesting move. If it's JW, expect Tosh to be the DC.
