Chip New UCLA Head Coach
Well crap. Would of rather seen him at Florida. I think his Offense with all that State of Florida speed would be ridiculously good, and that’s really what they need at Florida right now.

Chip in L.A. where he doesn't have to go on a million recruiting trips. Great.
I'm just going to tell myself that he is biding his time until the ducks job comes open again, and setting up ties in L.A. for recruiting purposes.

Well crap is right, I don’t like seeing him in the pac. We’ll see if he has the same mojo he had at Oregon, speed and tempo are not new anymore.rsbgduck wrote:Well crap. For a coach like Chip who hates recruiting, this is perfect because UCLA on paper is the easiest recruiting destination in the entire conference.

Re: Chip New UCLA Head Coach
As for Florida, when are they going to learn and bring in a proven Offensive HC, they have Defensive Linemen and LB falling off trees there. They keep going after these coaches that are one or two season offensive wonders that don’t pan out as a HC. They were thinking Scott Frost if Chip didn’t workout now Nebraska fired Rylie and it’s been reported in the past that Frost’s dream job would be Nebraska. Yeah this should of been put in a Florida Thread.

I don’t think he’ll succeed there. It’s hard to succeed at a school with a lack of supoort.

Re: Chip New UCLA Head Coach
After he spurned us again last year I officially moved in from chip. We were great together, like an engaged couple but it just didn't work out. We can look back fondly and not hold any grudges but we are never getting back together and it's ok.

Doubtful because of his age, but I’m wondering if Campbell would be an option as RB coach there, being it is his alma mater. Wonder if he inquires.

Re: Chip New UCLA Head Coach
I think it will be fun playing against him as long as we have Leavitt as our DC. I think Leavitt is just as talented on the defensive side of the ball as Kelly is on the offensive. We continue to get solid recruits and build depth at d-line and LB and we'll be fine.
