There seems to be some sentiment that the Beavers will beat the spread (currently at 38-39) and have an encouraging performance, mostly I think due to the whole Urban Meyer thing/suspension.

Agreed. In an ideal world, Oregon State beats UW and tOSU, but otherwise is not relevant.

I actually feel that the "Meyer Thing" works against Oregon State. Ordinarily, the Buckeyes would have looked at this game as a scrimmage. But now they have the "Us against the world" vibe in play and will take it out on the Beavs.

You know the spread may not be safe in this game if only because the beavers are likely going to keep their starters in all game long which might get them into the low 20s. Of course Ryan Day is off the Chip tree so they may need to get into the low 30s to keep the spread.

As expected, Beavs are getting smashed 42-14 at half. A lightning storm is just causing the inevitable to be delayed.

Beavs showing some life on offense as Artavis Pierce has TD runs of 80 and 78 yards in the 2nd half. Their offense seems improved but their defense looks like a major work in progress.

Game is mercifully going to end with the Beavs losing 77-31 to the Buckeyes. Could be another long season for OSU.

Sounds like the OSewe administration is content with mediocrity...

Was LSU middle of the SEC when the Beavs barely missed getting the upset?

I get that they are pretty bad right now, so playing against a team like Ohio State is not fun. But not scheduling Ohio States in the future, is essentially admitting mediocrity for the next decade.
