At least for one more week, I'll be curious about how the Ducks first 2018 opponent does. The Terps have gotten off to a decent start, having nipped Texas, and they're now getting a few votes in the top 25 polls. So it would be a nice upset win for the Falcons if they could pull it off. Maryland currently a 14-16 point favorite.

Thanks, STU! The Towson game was indeed last year, but it showed up along with the rest of the Terp's schedule for this season for some reason in my Google search. Now fixed above.

Haha, not a big detail. I check in on how Towson is doing from time to time just to see how one former Oregon QB has fared.

(answer: not well)

At the risk of hijacking my own thread . . . Who is this former Oregon QB?

I had to Google it, Morgan Mahalak. Looks like he played two games last year as a redshirt junior, don't see him on the roster for '18.

Thanks, max. Some guys just don't pan out. Wasn't he a 4* recruit according to at least one service?

He was a 4*, Elite 11 quarterback. Had all the talent you could ask for. I generally think I'm pretty good assessing high school QBs (I'm happy to supply tweets where I told Scott Frost it would be his biggest mistake as a coach to not offer Justin Herbert and he was far superior to Terry Wilson, and that Seth Green was a college tight end not a QB), but boy, I whiffed on this one. Just didn't/doesn't have the mental fortitude for the position.
