Looks like Kliff is NFL bound. What a gut punch for Helton.

Not sure why he took a college job so fast even though he was getting NFL calls as soon as he was fired from Texas Tech.

With Lynn Swann trying to prevent KK from interviewing and Clay Helton sitting in the hottest of hot seats that will be a tough position to fill. A one year gig with your employer actively working to keep you from advancing your career.

I doubt it impacts recruiting much for USC, but I think the health of the team more long term and in terms of W/Ls, I think they are gonna struggle.

Rumors are that they may pursue UW DC Jimmy Lake but people are denying he's looking around:

How does putting money in coffee cups and playing PS4 with players translate to the NFL?

Rumor also that he was on campus in Tuscaloosa within the last week. With 7 seniors atop the UW season opening depth chart and 2 underclassmen declaring for the draft this might be the ideal time to "get a promotion" as DC at Alabama.

I was hoping to see Leach get his revenge on Lake, but wouldn't be sad to see Lake leave the Pac12.
