That was absolutely brutal. Heartbreaking for the big man. Terrible timing with playoffs right around the corner.

I haven’t seen the video but I’ve seen comments saying it was worse than Hayward, Paul George and Kevin Ware. That would imply a compound fracture. Just a warning if anyone looks it up.

Re: Nurk just seriously hurt himself
It's an awful, awful injury. My first reaction was to blame the refs because the Nets were being extremely physical and the refs were allowing it to go completely unchecked, but Nurk's actual injury was just a fluke bad landing. Regardless, it's devastating for the team, for their playoff chances, and of course for Nurk most of all. Going to be a long road back for him.

Ugh, compound fractures to left tibia and fibula. Poor Nurk. Really hope he can recover from this.

Such awful timing. You could see in the other players' eyes an expression saying "Well, there goes our playoff hopes." Nurk has really improved in the latter portion of this year, and his and Dame's two-way game has gotten really impressive. Maybe with Enes we can still win a first round match-up, but we'll see.

I was trying to skip ahead on the DVR and skip the injury and laying on the court so 99 year old GreatgrandmaDuck wouldn't have to watch it. It was the hearing it that scarred me. Damn

Bad deal! I will not watch it, prayers are with him and this is not a Bowie or Oden deal. Hope he comes back. He is a contributor!

I watched it, it was gnarly bad looking. You can definitely see the break happen, but because of the camera angle you can't keep seeing the leg, but then watching all the other players reactions, they were sickened seeing it.
