You do realize that there is more than one position on a football team right? Nobody is saying Lance isn't good. It's just that he is the only person on the team that would start for a D1 school.
Yes, that’s why I’m taking up my time to show you around the roster

A lot of unheralded players on The Bison squad flying under the radar. The Oregon game means a lot to these players and their future in the NFL. It’s not so much winning or losing as it is playing a good game against talent like the Ducks have. A win of course seals the deal

Darrel Tuszka graduated to the Broncos I am told.

Didn't one of your former players just get sucker punched?
Do you mean this?
Hearing Juicy SDSU/Eagles rumors Dallas Goedert got Knocked the F out at the ZOO bar. Aberdeen last night?

hopefully just his pride got hurt & won't affect Wentz this year. We can delete in 48hours if found just to be a rumor

might of been a cheap shot too. wtf
If that’s the incident It is a former SDSU player now on the Eagles you were referring to. Otherwise, I have no idea. Just saw this about SDSU today.

Not to sound like a homer, but it is one of the more intriguing non-conference matchups in a few years that Ive seen. Not a lot of great mathups first weekend I think bodes well for it to get on a good network if it is played
Well look at this

https://youtu.be/V0gd9ENNO6c

First weekend is a little slow so if the blue states don’t lockdown again this game should receive a nice network slot. Might even have enough draw for tv to dictate KO time to Oregon.

Here’s an article by a butt-hurt gopher fan that graduated from Florida TWICE he claims.. it’s “brilliantly” written and should appeal to many here.

The Big Game isn’t cancelled yet so more on the NDSU BISON roster. From Hero Sports here’s a look at Jackson Hankey, in their opinion the best #52 in the FCS:

https://herosports.com/fcs/football-202 ... ankey-bzbz
: 52: JACKSON HANKEY, LB (JR.) -- NORTH DAKOTA STATE

The 2019 NDSU defense, which ranked No. 1 in the FCS with 12.3 points allowed per game, had plenty of star power with All-Americans like Jabril Cox, James Hendricks and Derrek Tuszka.

But it was sophomore and first-year starter Jackson Hankey who led the defense with 127 tackles while adding nine tackles for loss.

Hankey's total tackles were the ninth most in the FCS and the third-most in NDSU's Division I history. His best performance of the season came in a nail-biting national championship win against James Madison, where Hankey racked up 17 tackles.

The 6-foot-1, 220-pound North Dakota native earned HERO Sports Sophomore All-American honors.

PICKED!

If this game is played, , The Bison will take the ball if they win the toss. One thing I’m sure they will do is attack the Ducks defensive strength. The way it looks to me that will be the Oregon secondary. They will smash the line one time and send the receivers out to see what you are doing. They will counter with what ever routes make sense. The threat of the run will always be there

The first play may even be a play action to suck your eager LBs to the center while Lance picks the open receiver. Any completion is good and The Bison will try and establish the open flat.

The Bison will just continue to stretch the field and attack the middle. The edge is always there but Oregon is fast. They may attack the edge exploiting the miss direction and using the QB read. Lance has no trouble throwing across his body. If there is an open receiver Lance will find them. They won’t run a reverse unless the Ducks aren’t reacting properly, might have to run it once to make them respect it.

Bison put in trick plays. They have won a lot of big games that way but big time opponents like the Ducks not so much. Just not that susceptible to a sucker punch.

The Bison also like to go for 2. Don’t be surprised to see that on their first score. If they don’t make it they will do it again later. Per cent ages seem to favor a 2 pointer. Again though the Ducks are a big time opponent. Didn’t see it against KSU or IOWA but then again this is Head Coach Matt Entz not the wimp Klieman or Bison legend Coach Bohl.

This isn’t about this game but it is an interesting reorganization of NCAA football etc suggested by Sports Illustrated. 11 teams move down to FCS and 1, NDSU is moved up to the Great Midwest. Oregon in the Pac 12

Sounds like Trey Lance did not impress with his passing at the Elite 11 camp recently relative to the 3 other College QBs there.

Athlon sports rates Duck opponents

https://athlonsports.com/college-footba ... edule-2020
#6. Sept. 5 vs. North Dakota State
FCS juggernaut North Dakota State is not an opponent to be taken lightly — especially in Week 1 coming off an unprecedented offseason. The Bison have won eight of the past nine national championships in their subdivision, last year beating an outstanding James Madison side in an instant classic. The star of that NDSU team, quarterback Trey Lance, became the first freshman ever to win the Walter Payton Award, designated for the nation's premier offensive player in the FCS ranks. After throwing no interceptions and electrifying in both the passing and running game, Lance deserves to be in preseason Heisman Trophy conversations; expect him to enter the discussion if the Bison shock the defending Pac-12 champs.

Here’s a look at another NDSU BISON NFL prospect

https://www.nfldraftdiamonds.com/2020/0 ... schoening/

BREAKDOWN 2021 NFL Draft Prospect: Karson Schoening, OC, North Dakota State University

Karson Schoening the 6’5, 300 pound center from North Dakota State University is one of the most underrated players in the 2021 NFL Draft.

We have been talking a lot about Trey Lance this year the gun slinging quarterback from North Dakota State University, but we have not talked about his offensive line. There are some hogs on that offensive line. Karson Schoening is one of the big boys up front that give Lance time to distribute the ball around. He is not a little man either. Karson Schoening stands at 6’5” and weighs 302 pounds.
