Pistons/Magic
Pistons Send:
19 1st
20 1st
21 1st
Aaron Brooks
Magic Send:
Kyrie Irving
Who really needs a future right? Also I really hate trying to compete with the Nets.
I know this will come up since I asked Ownage already, but I'm hoping I can get an exception on the 4 or less years out rule for 1sts.

Re: Pistons/Magic Trade
I like it for the Pistons. True Frye is aging but even without him, they are a competitive team.. Magic may luck up with a late lotto with one of those picks but with the way teams tank, I doubt it. If Magic can get another pick for Brookd, it may turn good for both.

You can only go to year 2020 on trading firsts, cant allow an exception. If I do, whats the point of the rule?catch 922 wrote:Pistons Send:

Re: Pistons/Magic Trade
The point of the rule is to protect newbies from doing it because they don't understand the value of the 1st 5 years down the line. I guess it also protects from GM's coming in and jumping ship after offloading 1sts 5 years down the line, but I've been here 2 years now and probably will not be jumping ship anywhere in the near future.Oregon Ownage wrote:You can only go to year 2020 on trading firsts, cant allow an exception. I agree with your points but I dont change rules during the season. We can admend the rule in the offseason with a league votecatch 922 wrote:The point of the rule is to protect newbies from doing it because they don't understand the value of the 1st 5 years down the line. Re: Pistons/Magic
Kyries numbers are skewed right now so you cant base it purely off that. His contract is locked up, he is young and developing well and about to hit his prime.

Re: Pistons/Magic
I'm not saying i wouldn't rather have Kyrie, i just struggle with him being 3 1sts better.

I always thought this was up to the commish's disgression, if not I'm not sure what else can be done but it is a bit frustratingOregon Ownage wrote:I agree with your points but I dont change rules during the season. While I dont agree with this circumvention of the rule, it is legal.catch 922 wrote:Trade 1:

Pistons gets younger and have Irving locked in through his prime.
Magic turned Melo into 3 future picks, not the best return safe to say
