Post by stylesofpunk »

goga
Jackson
lecque
Bagley

For

Smith
wcs
clips 1st(top 3 protected if in top 3 goes to 2nd and a future Houston 1st that is not in top 10)

I accept goga has pissed me off this season and I like what my new lineup will be with capela/wcs/barrett/trent/Smith and a 1st

So Rockets over 2 trades have traded
Greg Brown
C.J. McCollum
Willie Cauley-Stein
David McCormack
2027 Suns 1st
2027 Blazers 1st
2027 clips 1st

for

goga
Jackson
lecque
Bagley

Not saying its good or bad, just a lot to digest. Probably depends upon how Lecque turns out.

he could of lost Smith after this season. goga is 26 signed for 4 years the clips lick will be a mid 1st and him losing wcs isn't that big with having poetl/goga as his starting bigs.

I am taking a chance on a expiring star pg who I think fits into the structure of my team more. I am stuck with Kuzma who has been doing a solid job off the bench this season and having him and goga eat up 22+ million when I can have wcs/Kuzma eat up about 16 while my PG position has depth and a star. If I lose Smith at the end of the season then I do but I would be farther away from the hard cap and have a mle to use in FA

I actually like this for the Rockets

Goga is much better than WCS and locked up long term and the Rockets still have Dior who was the 8th pick this past draft to develop. They are not close to competing so this trade adds pieces to a core of Little/Goga while still having a young player to develop (Dior) and a potential top 3 pick.

Celtics needed a PG so Smith will fill that role nicely but Capela and WCS on the floor at the same time is scary offensively if they take shots away from Smith/Barrett/Trent

Pick added to futures thread
