Re: Heat Cavs
Accept. The rebuild is in full flight. Two really good players, although expiring. Gonna take my chances in FA with a boatload of cap space and 7 1sts over the next three years. This will also assure my spot in the lottery so I see it as me trading up in the draft as well.

Re: Heat Cavs
another 28yo superstar? Hmm.
At least this one's expiring.
But the Heat are looking quite good. There is a large hole at SF, but if he plays Bogues there (6'3" 180lb lol) he still has the 3 good PGs to fill out the guard rotation. Interesting. I'll be looking at those box scores for sure.
Not many buyers around, and the Heat are taking advantage. I won't fault the Cavs for taking 2 1sts either, but I imagine he hoped for more.

Re: Heat Cavs
I did, but there wasn't really a market for him. I couldn't take the chance of coming up empty-handed if he didn't resign. I'm still not close to contention and saw more value the quantity of 1sts over quality in this case, with a chance to replace the quality in FA.The Bean Regime wrote:another 28yo superstar? Hmm.

I saw the offseason having one of four outcomes:
No star with no compensation
No star with 2 1sts
Star with no compensation
Star with 2 1sts
I decided to raise my floor by acquiring some picks and take the chance of landing a couple of good players this offseason to replace everything I have sent out.

Should work if we add Bassey. You good with that Cavs?

No I'd rather add Bassey to the trade with the Bulls, as I am getting more value.TDotDarkwing wrote:Should work if we add Bassey. You good with that Cavs?

I plan on keeping him, as well as Peyton Joseph. This deal can be scrapped.TDotDarkwing wrote:That’s fine. Add Preston Roberson.

Re: Heat Cavs
Huh? I don’t think that’s how it works? We just figure out a way to rework the deal. I made the trade with the Kings based upon doing this deal as well.
You add Ceballos and I add Baylor and it should work.

That is how it works. I'm not just going to add in a player of your liking. I agreed to a certain deal which was posted. It was unable to go through. I have no interest in padding it for you to make it go through. The players I didn't include were for a reason.

Re: Heat Cavs
You guys are funny.
This could be easily dealt if both teams wanted to.
There's tradebacks. The cavs could work another minor deal to get further under the cap. The Heat could also probably work a couple minor little deals to get the value of his traded players lower.
Just do some more negotiating behind closed doors for a while.
