Interesting. I don’t think it’s bad. Drew has been on the market for 2 picks, I said I would do Brooks in lieu of a pick. Brooks is a rookie who hasn’t had a TC yet and was a top 10 pick in reap life. Lakers get youbger, get another pick and make their own pick stronger.

Worked out for Pelicans in real life. They trade chris Paul and got #1 pick Anthony Davis the following year.

On a second look, its not as horrible as I first thought.

Everything depends on Brooks growing into the player Drew is currently as the 1st rounder odds on will be nothing more than a role player. Lakers gets 4 years younger and hope Brooks can turn into something or else their rebuild will take longer than expected.

Still think the Lakers could have build the team around Drew and inflated his stats to get a more out of him.
