Reid has been available for two seasons and nobody wanted him. Had to make a move eventually with no cap space, and since nobody wanted him, this was the best option

Its the contract, pretty safe to say that. He is not a max level player so any dealings for him would be slim. If he was making 5 mil less, he would be more valuable.nray30 wrote:Reid has been available for two seasons and nobody wanted him.
For the Clips long term this is a plus and sheds the 60 mil he had left on the deal with my only suggestion would have been to wait until after FA or when the Grizzlies could get a matching salary so you didnt "lose" that cap space asset but thats easy to say and the offer could have been gone at that point.
Risky add for the Grizzlies but we will get to that in the other thread
