I really like Polynice and Grant. Is a pretty decent haul for Chambers. Rockets starting a rebuild a year early? They don’t have their first this year, but I guess this package was better than what they thought they could get
Perfect for Nets Blazers should be happy

Not sure how to feel about this one. Nets did just win the ship so on the surface adding a great player in Chambers makes sense. However, they did JUST win the ship. Does it makes sense to sacrifice that many future assets for an older player like Chambers when you're already best of the best? Nets must have been really unimpressed with the rookie duo.
Makes sense for the Rockets. Their title picture is over with Parish being 35 and Dantley 33. It's a good rebuilding offer.

Re: nets/rockets
Chances of Nets retaining Pierce this offseason with all that unnecessary max cap and no bird rights was pretty low. Took two young potential guys out of the rotation for a better wing replacement on Pierce lets them stay elite I’d sayThe Bean Regime wrote:Not sure how to feel about this one. Re: nets/rockets
ya really like polynice/grant. probably could've held them another year but didn't want to risk a mediocre tc (maybe poor rationale) and them decrease value.
chambers wasn't my ideal target due to his contract but gives me an opportunity to win again next yr if I lose pierce.

Also, the Nets GM admits in this thread that he can't develop talent so he again needs to pilfer from someone else.

Bold move so I applaud the Nets for making it
Rockets get a great return and if one the prospects turn into something, its a win for them

So we are allowed to trade firsts nearly 1000 years in the past?
I guess Nets can do anything these days and get away with it..
