Re: Pistons - Grizzlies
Accept. This is the type of deal I was hoping for when I started building up these assets this year.
Contract works perfectly with my timeline, let’s see what I can do with hopefully a true alpha
Good dealing Pistons

Weird that there are not any comments on this trade.
I think Pistons got 2 good picks in the Twolves and Lakers, but no guaranteed star or top pick even seems a little light from their end.

If I’m being honest, Magic is a better player than Barkley (for now) and Grizzlies gave up a lot less in Cartwright than cliff, Eaton, and banks. This trade to me seems worse than the deal we had made. Great for Grizzlies for getting Magic and keeping their 92 1st. That wolves 89 is looking decent since they haven’t been able to put up hardly any wins recently

5 picks isn't 5 picks. I'll explain laterlukeyrid13 wrote:Weird that there are not any comments on this trade.

Great trade for the Grizz. If I were the Pistons I'd probably have waited until the offseason for more suiters.

Re: Pistons - Grizzlies
Not sure which guaranteed star or top pick would've been available to them especially given contract matching problems and such and teams rebuilding. With the T-pups getting worse and worse by the sim their pick is increasing in value every 5 days
thanks pups, seems like the pick is a more surefire asset than back in the Denver trade

Yep I agree. The Barkley trade really wasn't bad value at all. I think the initial trade shock just caused overreactionFoxyg1396 wrote:If I’m being honest, Magic is a better player than Barkley (for now) and Grizzlies gave up a lot less in Cartwright than cliff, Eaton, and banks. This boils down to, Magic for Twolves 89 (probably #8 pick) and Lakers 92 (who knows but maybe turns in to a Nique trade in 2-3 seasons). Good assets, but not Magic level assets IMO.

I believe Detroit has their picks moving forward. You didn’t.Foxyg1396 wrote:If I’m being honest, Magic is a better player than Barkley (for now) and Grizzlies gave up a lot less in Cartwright than cliff, Eaton, and banks. I also have Bird, Stockton, and then Cliff, banks, and Eaton. I wouldn’t have needed my 1sts in that caseBoom wrote:I believe Detroit has their picks moving forward. After all these moves, I can't track what the Grizzlies look like. But picking up Magic is pretty damn impressive. Wish he would've stayed in the East.
Pistons have a couple younger intriguing pieces if they pan out, with a lot of FA money available, and picks?

I tried getting all of blazers picks throughout the 90’s through pick swaps and picks for Pippen and Rodman. Pistons getting 5 1st for Magic isn’t bad. Main issue with Nuggets trade was they didn’t have their firsts. True they would of been a 7-10 seed in west after the trade. But I can see both sides.

Yea thats the downside, you are 95% likely to get 50 cents on the dollar for top end stars b/c its so tough to find the right dealDrBradBuss wrote:Yes.
