2019 PGs

Post by Oregon Ownage »

Collin Sexton B- C+ B+ B- D+ A
A scoring point guard. Good length and extremely quick. Very talented guard with a scorer’s mentality, showing an innate ability. Can get into a zone and take over the game offensively. Reads his defender well and creates for himself with little effort. Average ball handler who may need a season or two to take over the game. Great potential.

Trevon Duval C- C B+ B D+ B
More of a pure point guard with great playmaking skills and impressive passing skills. Can fit into tight spaces and hold the ball while shielding off defenders. After an up and down shooting percentage at Duke, scouts worry if he can score the ball at the next level. Might turn it over some trying to make a play in his first season. Good potential.

Bryant Crawford C B+ B+ C+ D C
Ready now prospect who can help a contending team at the backup. Solid ball handler. Very physical guard who doesn't shy away from contact. Good instincts. Solid potential.

Shamorie Ponds C- B- C+ B D C
Very quick player who likes to run the show. Can hit his free throws but not much else. Very good handles but will need time with his passing. Defense is above average as he frusrate oppoing PG's. Average potential.

Derryck Thornton C+ C+ B- B- C- B
Above average athleticism for a PG who can drive and dish. Good stroke but range is limited. Very careful with the ball in his hands and is a decent passer. Average defensively. Will need a seasont og row and develop but possesses very good potential.

Kyle Guy C B B+ B- C- B
Floor general who will help you dictate play. Extremely good with the ball in his hands but almost too good. Will pass up passing opportunities waiting for the perfect one. Hard nosed on defense and can hit free throws. Above average potential.

Jaquan Lyle C C B- B D+ B
Very steady PG who helps make teammates better. Composed on the ball and will find his open team mate. Don't look for much scoring from him. Defensively, he will lose his man on the outside but will use his size if he tries to drive inside. Active hands. Good Potential.

Jalen Adams C B B+ B- D+ C
Another UConn PG who helped run the show in Storrs. Tried to emulate Kemba Walker with his shot taking, but, he does not possess the same range. Nice stroke but range is limited. Above average passer with great handles. Very good defender on drives and perimeter. Quickest player in the class. Can step in and play minutes now for any team.

Shake Milton C- C+ B C+ C- B
Best name in this class, IMO. Shake doesnt possess one area that he excels in but is above average in several including: athleticism, passing ability, shooting stroke and defensively. Very good potential for Shake but will need time to grow.
