2020 PGs

Post by Oregon Ownage »

Lamar Peters B- C B+ B- D+ B
The Mississippi St. guard is a ready now player who has the potential to have a very long DASL career. Great handles and passing abilities. More of an inside threat. Pretty athletic abilities. A ball hawk who has the speed to get easy buckets. Team leader who can very well turn out to be the best PG in this class. Good potential.

Nick Weatherspoon C- C+ C+ B- C- A
Amazing potential. Will need a season or two to groom. Played along side with Peters at Mississippi St. and led the Bulldogs to a final four appearance. Good passer. Will have a turnover problem early on but over time should develop. More of a perimeter player who can knock down the long three. Will need to be patience with his development.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander C- C+ C+ C+ C- A
Shai is a hit or miss kind of prospect. Many scouts felt the Kentucky guard should have stayed for one more year before declaring. Incredible speed. Will need to bulk up in the weight room. Below average handles but scouts feel he will get better over time. Pretty solid defender. Will need to improve on his man to man defense. Overall amazing raw potential.

Jalek Felton C B- B B- C- B
The nephew of Raymond Felton followed his uncle's footsteps to UNC. Only he was unfortunate to win a NCAA championship. Jalek impressed scouts doing the tournament showing heart. Many feel he doesn't have the athletic abilities to develop to the next stage. Good handles and passing abilities. Solid outside shot. And pretty good perimeter defender. Solid potential.

Tre Jones C C+ C+ C+ D+ A
Poor handles but has the potential to become a pure point guard. Possesses good coordination, fluidity, and versatility. Smooth shooting stroke with proper form, rotation, and arc. Right now he is considered more of a combo guard. Great potential.

Jaylen Hands C- B+ C+ C D A
Very good shooting stroke mid to three point line. Average athleticism for the position. Better passer at the moment than taking care of it. Defensively, he is average at guarding his man at the three point line, everywhere else... Not so much. Will need some time to develop but has very good potential.

Immanuel Quickley C B- B A- D D
As his name says, he is quick. Ready to contribute day 1. Handling is average but he can pick out a pass. Very good at defense and taking the ball away and starting a fast break. More of a game manager offensively so dont expect too much scoring. Not much potential but he can play minutes for you now.

David Moretti C- B+ B- B D+ C
An import from Italy, David possesses a very good handle of the ball and shooting stroke. Defensively, he is above average but is not a liability there. Can play some minutes for you now but will need time adjusting to the DASL. His potential depends on how well he adapts in the new country.

Paul Scruggs C+ C A- C D+ B
Best ball handler and passer in this class. Unfortunately, thats all he really brings to the table. Will need time to round out other areas of his game. Very good potential.

Victor Bailey C- C+ B- B- C- B
The tools are there for a solid rotation player but will need time to develop his skills for the DASL. Above average athleticism but can hang on the defensive side of the ball. His handle will need time and his passing is above average. Give him a season or two and you can have a nice low end starter/very good backup.
