2022 PGs

Post by jibbajabba614 »

Javonte Smart C- C+ C+ B+ C- A
Smart has got a great feel for the game and has pure point guard instincts. Solid handles. He can rock the defense to sleep with the dribble while allowing the play to develop and then pass his teammates open, showing good vision and true floor general skills. Amazing potential

Yago Dos Santos C+ C+ B B D B
He sees the court well and is a natural play-maker who does a good job of collapsing the defense and setting his teammates up for open shots. Will need to improve his ball handling ability. Has a versatile offensive game and can operate at the point or play off the ball. Good potential

Cole Anthony C A- B- C+ C B
Cole is a threat to score from anywhere on the court once he crosses half court and can effortlessly knock down shots. Maybe the best shooter in the class. He has a great floater from the mid range area as well that he can score with consistently when he is not able to get all the way to the rim. Good potential

Jaelin Llewellyn C C B B D A
A crafty, smart guard who can control the pace of a game. He changes speeds well, has a great hesitation move and euro step, especially in transition, allowing the defense to fly by. Solid handles and passing abilities. Will need to improve offensively to start seeing real minutes. Great potential

Payton Pritchard C B- B+ B C A
Pritchard is a PG who is always under control and can orchestrate an offense or take over the game when needed. Scouts wonder if he can compete against elite competition. Payton held his own after playing in China and winning the MVP. He’s got the vision and solid handles but will need to become a better passer. Great potential

Michael Devoe B- C B- B- D B
Built more like a SG, he uses his body well to drive and dish. Very good passer but his handling will need work. Average defender. Might need a season adjusting to the speed of the league. Good potential.

Jordan McCabe C C+ B B D+ C
Quicker than most, he leverages his size to find passing lanes and help the offense. Ok handler of the ball. Can score at all levels of the floor but wont dominate in any one area. Plays very hard defense. Average potential.

Robert Phinisee C C A B+ C- C
Best combination of passing and handling in this class. Advanced passer with an eye at making the correct pass that leads to points. Offensive game is weak but he will do what you ask and thats play defense and distribute the ball to the playmakers. Average potential.

A.J. Green C B- B C+ D+ C
Similar to Michael Devoe but a more refined shooting stroke outside the arc. Passing is better than most and his handling is very good. Could use some work defensively to be trusted with more minutes. Good potential.
