2024 SGs

Post by Oregon Ownage »

Jaden Springer C A- C- C+ C A
Springer made a name for himself playing on the youth USA basketball team. A solid veteran shooting guard who contributes in all aspects of the game and can really score the ball. A very efficient player on the offensive end, who shoots over 50% from the field and has become a knockdown three point shooter. Overall, scouts wonder how his size and strength will translate in the next level. Great potential

Jalen Green C+ B+ C C+ D+ A
At age 16, was considered to be the number one pick in the 2021 draft. Highly regard recruit who struggled with injuries. Lost some of his explosive speed. But can still score at will. Pure scorer with solid athleticism. His high basketball I.Q. is evident on the defensive end where he plays with great positioning and good fundamentals. Green is a leader on the court and a true play-maker. The type of player who teammates love to play with. Amazing potential

R.J. Hampton C- B+ C- B D B
Hampton is an offensive talent who can score from the outside. The high scoring guard is a likely first round pick and potential lottery pick but has somewhat limited upside due to his lack of length and lack of big time athleticism. Smooth three point shot. Can get his shot off the dribble. Good potential

Jalen Suggs C C+ C+ C+ C- A
Suggs is lightning in a bottle and a bullet in transition. He can score from anywhere on the floor with the ability to draw double teams. Has good open court speed. Might not be a highlight reel dunker but he's got plenty of athleticism and can really get out on the break. Great potential

Jamal Mashburn Jr C C C- C C A
The Monster Mash 2.0 coming to DASL. Overall average prospect who scouts feel can develop over time. He's got nice height for a SG, with good length and high level athleticism. Quick and graceful in the open court with very good quickness. Gets off the ground exceptionally well and is a highlight reel dunker. Amazing raw potential

Joshua Christopher C B C+ B- C B
Very good from deep but tends to hang around there and not drive inside. Passing is very good for his position but is very sloppy with it more often than not. Could use some seasoning on the defensive end but has a decent ability to get a blocked shot. Good potential.

Addison Patterson C+ B C B- D B
Similar to Christopher but has some ability to drive inside and get a hoop. Above average athletics who with time can hopefully round his game. Needs some time defensively adjusting to the league. Good potential.

Anthony Edwards C C+ C B+ C B
Very accomplished defender who stays tight to his man. Above average shot but has room to grow in that department. Stronger than most at his position. Can play defensive minutes for you now but will need time crafting his offensive game. Good potential.

Cashius McNeilly C C+ C- A- C- C
Best defender at the 2 spot in this class. Hard nosed defender who is also very adapt at getting his hand in the way and picking off passes. Shot is a work in progress but is reliable form the charity stripe. Average potential.

Jaylen Clark C C+ C+ B C B
Project player who has the smarts to grow his game but will need at least two seasons to be productive. Shooting stroke is good inside the arc and tends to pull up with jumpers too often, tries to avoid contact in the paint. Can hang on defense right now. Very good potential.
