Creation Draft Setup & Discussion

Post by Oregon Ownage »

Official draft start date & time: July 3rd, 11 am ET
Draft Thread: http://www.ducksattack.com/forum/viewto ... 29&t=34633
Player Rating Reference: https://www.basketball-reference.com/le ... _game.html

The draft will be conducted in five pick increments every two hours. Picks 1-5 will be open from 11 - 1 ET and at 1 ET whatever pick we are on, the selection will be made from sent lists up to pick 5. Then from 1 - 3 ET it will be picks 6-10, rinse and repeat through the draft. This will allow GM's to know the absolute latest their pick is due without holding up the remainder of the draft and keep things moving at a constant pace. You can post your pick when it is your turn, like normal, but once the end time hits, I will use lists to finish out that set of picks.

When sending lists, please use the following template: Team Name - Round - Pick Number Example: Mavericks - Round 1 - Pick 16

If you will be busy and wont be able to constantly check if your pick is up, put "Commish Pick" in the subject line after the template outlined above. I will not look at lists until the end time so I will need to know if I am making the pick for you or waiting on you to pick.

If you miss a pick and do not send a list, you are fired as GM. No if or buts, sending a list is easy and like I mentioned, I will not use them unless told so or the pick slot time expired.

Potentially we can get ahead of the schedule, that would be great, but in case we do, please send lists ahead of time if you know you cant make a pick for over 2-4 hours.

The draft order will have the dates/times of the increments so you will see your picks ahead of time and be prepared way in advance of when your pick is due or the time slot you are picking in.

Use this thread as a discussion board for picks to keep the draft pick thread clean and easy for me to read and update.

While the official start date is the 3rd at 11am ET, the Celtics can start the draft whenever

Player Notes:
Magic Johnson - Can play PG, ignore my previous statement about potentially breaking the game.
George Johnson - There are two George Johnson's who played in the league in 1980 so no you are not going crazy when you see both.
Micheal Ray Richardson - Can not start at PG despite his high handling rating, can only play PG coming off the bench.

We'll see, last time I made a stupid deep first round. Tiit Sok for example was a above average starter at 29 in the first year. Not sure the same thing will happen
