Ducks title or....
If someone was offering you X amount of money or a Ducks national championship at what cost would you take the money?
100 bucks
1000?
10k?
50k?

Maybe I'm the definition of fanatic but I think it would probably have to be somewhere between 25k or 50k for me to consider. I still might take the Ducks title even at that cost though.

Would this mean that they are simply given the title and it is not earned?

Are we talking about just for one season or a lifetime? There's really no amount of money I'd take over a Ducks title if it meant that Oregon would NEVER win a title (College Football Saturday is a way of life, but if Oregon wasn't going to win, why watch?), but if it was just for that specific season, then it changes my view.

If we're talking this season: $10K (I'm a broke college grad)
If we're talking the next 2-3 years: $50K
Anything past 3 years, no way...

If the meaning of this thread is that Oregon is simply given the title, I'd take the money. How much joy do you get if you simply knew Oregon would win it all? The great thing about sports is when your team finally achieves the ultimate goal, and it wouldn't be as awesome if it was simply a formality after refusing money.

I'll take a stab that the original poster was trying to ask - in any given year:TheMaehlMan wrote:If the meaning of this thread is that Oregon is simply given the title, I'd take the money. What would you chose?
A. Oregon winning it's first national championship (all on it's own merits - and doesn't discount future possible titles chances)?
or
B. Being handed $1 buck?
I suspect we'd all opt for option A in this scenario. However, step up option B's $ amount, and at some point, the $ becomes too enticing. The question is, at what point is it for you?
For me - somewhere over $2.5k. I'd take the $ and just have to keep my fingers crossed that at some future point they'd get another crack at it.
