EPIC!!! Just epic!!! I kneel before the genius who came up with this.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Damon_Huard

College career

After graduating from high school, Huard attended the University of Washington, where he redshirted as a freshman in 1991. He started for the first time in 1993, and continued as a starter through his senior season in 1995. That season, he passed for 2,415 yards and 11 touchdowns. He finished his career as the Huskies' all-time passing leader with 5,692 yards.

His greatest touchdown was against the University of Oregon. While driving the Huskies down the field in Eugene, Oregon, Huard led the Huskies on what appeared to be one of the greatest comeback victories for Washington against Oregon. At the 10-yard line he threw a beautiful pass to Oregon cornerback Kenny Wheaton, who ran it back for a 95 yard touchdown interception. This won the game for the University of Oregon and began 20 years of Duck domination, including a current streak of 9 straight wins.

In all reality, it seems to me like Huard is one of the most professional when dealing with anything regarding Oregon athletics. Some of those guys, ED CUNNINGHAM, just suck!

Of course, it's the younger brother BROCK Huard who is with ESPN.

I agree SuperDuck about Huard as an analyst/commentator, especially in relation to other poodles on air.

I just wish I was better at XO's so I could tune out all of the garbage of "Oregon hasn't been tested" "Mariota hasn't been tested", etc. because I know it's just ESPN Gameday wanting to up their viewership. Being able to break down the film of both teams would probably make me feel better.

My gut tells me that the Ducks are going to take care of business because they've been to the big show and UW is doing their typical "we're awesome until you kick our ass" yearly dance. Are we going to start slow on offense? Probably because a Justin Wilcox defense tends to throw new wrinkles at you that you haven't seen. A Justin Wilcox defense also plays dirty as many past Duck players have mentioned and this game will be no different.

Well, I don't think that storyline is incorrect. I don't believe the Ducks have truly been tested, and I think it's clear they haven't played a team that can test them for 4 quarters. I think the team faced a little adversity early against Tennessee and CU, but eventually the talent and depth just overwhelmed them. For the first time all year we're going to see a team with Top 15/10 talent in their first 11 and the depth to give us more of a prolonged test.

Not saying the Ducks can't handle it, but I do believe this is the first real 4 quarter challenge we're going to see this year.

But this is why I wish I was better at the XO's because we've heard this every year about the Washington team being so awesome and they're a top rated team only to have us blow them out. I'd love to be able to really break down their games and compare apples to apples.

And then we blow them out of the water (like we've done 9 times in a row) and hear the same thing when we play UCLA and Stanford. The Ducks haven't really been tested yet.

I see what you're saying, and it's a valid point. Keep blowing teams out, and regardless of how good they are, that will be the national storyline. I'll say, I've been around football all my life; as a son and grandson of coaches. I've watched a lot of both teams this year and can say, with pretty good confidence, that an Oregon blowout victory in Seattle will say more about how good the Ducks are, than how bad the Huskies are. It's kind of gross to admit, but this Husky team is pretty good. I just don't think they're Oregon good. We'll find out on Saturday.

And hey, going 14-0 without being tested all year wouldn't be so bad, eh?!

AMEN! Just means I'll be a nervous wreck on Saturday and will be holding my breath until the final whistle.

Weather shows rain so at least there won't be issues of sun in eyes, etc. Wonder how Price will do with rain and sore thumb.

I had a nightmare last night that UW won and then the Sounders beat the Timbers and all of Washington rejoiced. I literally woke up and thought we'd just lost to the dawgs. I was depressed until I saw that it was still just Wednesday.

The only thing that would make that dream worse is if the Trailblazers were kidnapped and ended up in Seattle. :?

If Oregon scores 106, UW might get 45... , Helf would have the 3rd string in by the end of the first half, and the Fuskies would likely still have Price/Sankey in, even if they were "injured".

So if we blow UW out of the water, what excuses will Sark come up with (besides the "we're a young team").

I'm guessing he'll say we cheated somehow or it was the refs. I doubt he'd take any responsibility for the loss.

Maybe someone should start a poll!

UW just spent themselves physically and emotionally by having to 'get up' and play one of the most physical teams in the country in Stanford.

To recover from that in just 7 days and have to follow it up against at team just as big as they are, yet more conditioned and faster, will be a tall, tall task for UW. By the second half, Oregon's Offense will be scoring at will, if not a lot sooner.

Combine that circumstance with the pressure of having to play on the BIG BOY STAGE with ESPN Gameday in town and you've got the right setting for UW to implode once things start to go Oregon's way.

I'm going to enjoy sitting back on the 50 yard line in Husky Stadium watching the Ducks rain touchdowns all day long...
