I'm most excited about the 6'4" 240 pound kicker

We also have a Stark so at least we know we've got a King in the North!

21 Royce Freeman RB 6-0 227
97 Jalen Jelks DL 6-6 268
50 Austin Maloata DL 6-1 313
6 Charles Nelson WR 5-9 170
1 Arrion Springs DB 5-11 200
18 Jimmie Swain LB 6-3 229

Just a few guys to pick out, Royce is coming in pretty big not a bad move for him as he'll drop some weight with all the running in camp. Jelks has put on 15-25lbs and with the new rules allowing for unlimited meals, if he can get up to 275 (and plays like he should be out there) he could be a part of the rotation. Maloata is obviously the big boy of the group and has put on anywhere from 40-60lbs! Of course, this is where the recruiting sites aren't always accurate but that's a lot of beef. Charles Nelson is supposed to take over for DAT and he's built very similar. Springs is coming in a few lbs heavier and I wonder if the coaches want to look at him at S first. Swain also looks like he's grown enough to be able to see the rotation possibly too.

The 240 kicker, they actually messed his info up with someone else. Sorry :(

Jelks has a nice frame and should continue to put on weight throughout his career kind of like Buckner. Still don't think he plays this year but it's a good sign that he'll be able to contribute down the road.

Maloata didn't add 40-60 pounds. He weighed in a 292 I believe on his official visit. Recruiting sites hadn't updated his profile in ages.

Kind of curios about Springs, that's pretty heavy for a 18 yr old CB, I hope he plays as physically as his weight would suggest.

The other I'm interested to see play is Hollins, it looks like he grew 2 inches and is now 6'6" but only 215. Looks like he'll redshirt this year and bulk up and play that Dion Jordan role in the future.

I'll throw this nugget in here
USC will spend in excess of $1 million annually for an "enhanced fueling plan" for all 650+ of its student-athletes, scholarship recipients and walk-ons, according to a statement on USCTrojans.com citing information directly from Trojans Athletic Director Pat Haden.
http://www.si.com/college-football/2014 ... nl_siextra
I'm sure some of our student groups on campus will be ticked off about all the nice meals the UO athletes will get but for young players especially, having a complete training table will make a large impact and will certainly become a selling point in recruiting for some schools. A solid endowment fund should do the trick and perhaps something radical that the P12 conference could do would be to take a portion of the TV revenue and fund each schools training tables.

14 of the 42 are walkons, by my count.

My daughter just graduated from Sunset High School with him.
She's gone to school with the kid for the last 12 years.

Apparently he's a great kid. He may never see the field,
but it always helps to add another kid with the "WTD" attitude.

It appears several (although not all) of the OL guys have gained some
weight. The idea of getting pushed around by Stanford this year is more
than I can handle, so it will be interesting how it shakes out.

Does anyone have some inside info on how intentional this was?
I know balancing size and speed on the line is a delicate balance
but I'm glad to see that some of the guys have gained weight.
