Im thoroughly impressed by this. NASCAR consistently draws more than even the NFL. I guess Oregon is a good football team or something (：

That's not true at all. NASCAR's constant claim is they are the big #2 behind the NFL in ratings. Ratings tend to decline with NASCAR as the season progresses, and not by a little. The Richmond race has had HH ratings in the low 3's for the last several years.

The bigger story is that it was the highest rated and most watched regular season college football game ever on FOX.

Well, it was one of the most anticipated games of this season, so I wouldn't have expected less. With that being said, it wasn't the most watched game that day.

Having worked very closely with NASCAR for years, I can tell you that everyone makes the same turning left joke. It's like every time a southerner would make a joke about Oregon's uni combos. After hearing it a zillion times, it's hard to even fake a smile for it.

Hey, thanks for correcting this.

I was going based off of information I had heard years ago and it really stuck out in my mind at the time, I couldn't believe it back then so I double checked. Turns out that was around 2004. Time flies and people move on! Kellen Clemens isn't the QB anymore either it seems.
