was reading a post on here yesterday...cant find it now but a poster said something about wishing that Malone had a torn acl/mcl(whatever it was). I sure hope that that was sarcasm. Don't care who it is I would never wish a major injury on any player, let alone a Duck.

He very well could have a partially torn ACL and still be unimpeded on the field.

Seriously, the more reading I do on the subject shows how arbitrary partial ACL tears can be. If the remaining intact ACL fibers aren't damaged, then a partially torn ACL can be just as functional as an untorn ACL. The thing is, most partial tears result from an injury which also stretches the remaining ligament fibers, rendering the knee unstable. But in the rare cases when the remaining fibers aren't stretched, then a partially torn ACL can be just as strong and fine to play on.

It kind of goes against logic, but that's the common thread in what I've been reading.

Agree- Seems unlikely Hill would be practicing if there was any kind of concern let alone making leaping grabs in practice. Perhaps KODs source got some bad info.

Remember also that KOD's source didn't say Hill was "out." He just said he had a partially torn ACL.

Side note: Give Siesay and Springs a break. Even Ifo got torched in the Rose Bowl for a TD as a youngster.

Was Springs even given a shot in the Wyoming game?

That's only because he's "day-to-day" and they won't give any indicators when he'll actually play.

From the way Troy plays, I'm going with unstoppable animal. Dude is a monster.
No doubt. Wish everyone played like him.

I am much more optimistic about the rest of the season knowing that Troy is still going to be playing. Frankly, I would have been shocked if he didn't continue playing after seeing how well he played following the injury against Michigan State.

I'd like to Springs get more time at DB, I haven't been too impressed with Seisay.

But that's awesome news on Hill. Having him healthy is key to success for sure.
