Does anyone else....

Post by QuackininBama »

.............cringe watching us return kicks now? Man, U.G.L.Y. DAT really spoiled us because now our kick returners look like everyone elses. Nelson makes one cut if were lucky, and runs into a pile of bodies, every, single, time. Sigh...........
And for god sakes kid, its ok to not try to return kicks that are frikkin 6 yards deep in the end zone. Its ok to take a knee once in a while and bring it to the 20.

I had no idea haha. I don't think an Oregon kicker and took a knee in years! (Least it sure seems like it).

Agreed. We haven't found a solid returner yet. Nelson makes way too many risky decisions, and Tyner lacks field vision.

They are told by the coaches that they'd rather take a chance at a big return than play it safe and start at the 25.

It worked for Barner in 09 when he had 108 yard return against UCLA.

I don't think this is solely on the returners. Our blocking is allowing those defenders to be down inside the 15 on a constant basis.

Our entire special teams in general other than maybe punt coverage really hasn't been special at all. No big plays, and frankly too many nothing plays.
