Former Oregon safety John Boyett was arrested early Wednesday morning after an altercation with a cab driver led himself to attempt to hide from police by covering himself in mulch.
MULCH?!
From the Denver Post: Boyett, 24, told arresting officers to "contact his boss 'John Elway'" before repeatedly slamming his head into a patrol car window while yelling and spitting, records say.
THAT never goes well, akin to the "do you know who I am?"
the fact of the matter is that Boyett needs help. He needs counseling and perhaps a life long commitment to AA. I hope he has his degree because he is likely done in the NFL.

Pretty terrible really. Colt was like this from HS. He's a product of his mother.
I'm curious to know if this Boyett has always been. I would never have guessed given his time at Oregon.

This x 10. Some guys drink too much because they simply want to on occasion. Other guys can't stop and they frequently
become a radically different person when they drink. I have no idea and I'm not passing judgment on the guy but his
bizarre behavior when drinking suggests he might not be able to stop on his own.
This is really sad. I really liked Boyett when he played for us- he always flew all over the field and was a very sure tackler. I wish him nothing but the best.
I have to admit, I have always sort of wondered about Boyett. He did not just turn into an idiot since he has been in the NFL. This behavior had to have been an issue before. Wonder if it was just hidden better before. Not trying to trash the guy but has some serious issues and needs help.
