I forget if it was a pro or college game that I first heard it mentioned, but a color commentator said that he thinks in those "half the distance" penalties that they should just add the penalty yardage to the "yards to go" and I'd like to see that tried out. Perhaps allowing the defense to decide could be done. Some defenses might prefer to see a team go from the 2 to the 1 rather than staying at the 2 and getting 5 or 10 more yards added.

Weird, I barely remember that. My lasting memory is him trucking the OSU FS twice.

that's a much better memory. i just remember that hand off to the neck because at the time we hadn't won a rose bowl in a veeeeeeeeery long time and it really looked like we might.

i mean, until he handed it off to his neck.

I am 100% on the Vernon Adams bandwagon if he actually comes to Oregon.

A poster on DT is saying they are just waiting in UO admissions. Sounds like EWU coach has even helped in getting in touch with UO and setting everything up.

It would certainly help him in his own recruiting and further establishing EWU to have a QB transfer to a school like Oregon.

I'd be on board with bringing him on, he knows how to score a boatload of points against the poodles in seattle.

Vernon is a stud. Not nearly the legs that Mariota has, but that would be incredible if true.

I would give Vernon a shot over Miller... Especially if he can be here for spring practice, and healthy.

Why would the EWU coach help arrange a transfer for his top player to a school he plays next year?
