Sam Kamp leaving program?

Anyone hear this? He put on Instagram that he is no longer playing football. Said he will graduate this spring as a double major, and can't wait to see what other opportunities are out there. Depth on the DL just took a hit. But congrats to him.

He would have played quite a bit next year. Oh well, we have some depth at DL (surprisingly). Oh well, good luck Sam! Once a Duck always a Duck.

Bummer, because we could use him for depth. It's pretty reasonable of him though to give up football to start pursuing a career.

Good for him

He wasn't a world beater but he would have played 30-40 snaps a game for us next year. Let's hope that Canton really brings it next year.

Wish him luck. Must know something we don't about someone coming in or wants to move closer to home. Huge decision and also could be family related.

Kamp was first guy off the bench at end and tackle last fall and a potential starter in '15. Moving on for the sake of his long-term health.

I actually respect a decision like this quite a bit. Got his education paid for, knew he wasn't going to play Sunday's, and moved on. Football can take allot out of you. Nothing wrong with playing the business end of the college football experience ti your benefit.

You know this as a fact? Because I remember when this happened and durring the ESPN telecast of the game. They had this story. And as they were filming the students paint it back to black. Their paint brushes had the same color of green on them. I thought it came out later that ASU students did that to try and get the football team pumped up for the game.
