Vernon Adams visiting Oregon?

Post by greenyellow »

Sources are saying he's gotten his release from EWU and will be visiting this week.

He's a big-time player who has lit up OSU and UW's defenses in year's past. Just imagine what he could do with the weapons that Oregon has!

How's Adams' character? I'd like to have more Mariotas and less Masolis.

Sounds like he mainly ended up at EWU due to his size and slight grade issues out of HS. Can't find any news of him being in trouble with the law so I don't think he's anywhere near Masoli.

Still too early to know for sure in my opinion, but some people in the media seem to think his transfer is all but a done deal. Wow.

Awesome. Hopefully he can learn the offense quickly (yes, I am counting my chickens before they hatch).

If he can, we'll be right back in contention for the CFP next season! And even without Marcus, we may even find ourselves in better shape if we don't get bit so hard by the injury bug.
Willie Taggart is a dick.

The main issue with Adams is that he intends to fulfill an internship this summer that doesn't get done until August, right before fall camp starts. If that's the case, he'd have to be a real quick study to learn the offense and then beat out 5 QBs who will have had spring drills and summer workouts in the system. Best case for him starting is if he skips the internship and shows up for summer workouts.

Eh. Dixon ditched a whole summer for baseball the first year Chip came in, and I'd say whatever he picked up when he came back that year was good enough.

Ehhhh I'm happy to see him transfer as a Griz fan (he has been our bane), but I am less than thrilled to see him at Oregon.

But he also got work that spring with Chip so wasn't exactly learning it from scratch when he got back for fall camp.

His personality is a polar opposite of Marcus. The kid has swagger, but it can be excessive at times.
