Reporters
I have seen two different reports this morning stating things I had not heard. One was a Fox Sports article that said that Buckner is out this spring with a leg injury. Did I miss something? The other was Chantel Jennings of ESPN saying that Pharoah Browns career is over. While this has always been a possibility, it was stated as though a confirmed fact. I have not seen anything saying that until this report.
Anybody have any further insight?

I think the Buckner bit is true. Not sure about Pharaoh but I doubt it since the last we heard in Feb was that he was ahead of schedule.

Re: Reporters
My one thought on this is that with an injury as severe as Pharaoh's, the fact that he's ahead of schedule may have had nothing to do with his ability to play football again. Not sure about Pharaoh but I doubt it since the last we heard in Feb was that he was ahead of schedule.
I have no insider info... and while I'm optimistic Brown might return to the lineup someday, I wouldn't be at all surprised if his career is over.
Willie Taggart is a dick.

Re: Reporters
I wouldn't worry about Buckner or Brenner being out since it's normal for those who have minor off-season procedures to sit out spring practices. As for Brown, unless it's said otherwise, I think it was wrong for Jennings to assume his career is done. If he's not ready for the 2015 season, he still has a redshirt available to him should he want to continue working and try to come back in 2016.

I have to admit, I posted a comment and called her out in a professional way. I told her it was irresponsible to make such an assumption. She is pretty good in general but I thought that was a bad thing to do.

Re: Reporters
It happens to her and a couple other of their bloggers too often for it to be overlooked as simple mistakes. They need to get better editors and/or researchers to stop it from happening nearly every story.Tray Dub wrote:She didn't have her facts in order. Simple as that.

Thanks. I was pretty sure I had seen the article make a definitive statement.southernoregonduck wrote:She edited it, it did say that it was over earlier today.fpsduck wrote:http://espn.go.com/blog/pac12/post/_/id ... p-up-againPharaoh Brown’s career could be over

This type of thing happens very regularly at a lot of places. At some point, "journalists" put the importance of speed over the importance of accuracy. It's everywhere now. Makes it hard to believe what you read sometimes.greenyellow wrote:It happens to her and a couple other of their bloggers too often for it to be overlooked as simple mistakes.
