A 5 PM start in early September should be pretty great. I plan to attend, is anyone else going?

Until AT&T can work out a deal with DTV I'm still SOL. Gonna have to find a stream to watch this on.

I just checked in on their Oregon game thread...
To me, it's strange for fans of a team Oregon has never played to have such hatred towards Oregon.
I understand being upset about VA leaving, but some of the fans say they hated Oregon prior to that...completely irrational.

I'd say most of their fans are also UW fans, which would explain their hatred. I remember the VA thread they had just after he decided to come to Oregon was the best evidence of this, with many declaring their allegiance to both UW and EWU.fpsduck wrote:I just checked in on their Oregon game thread...

It's pretty natural to start disliking teams that are continually successful and that receive national media attention constantly.

That certainly explains why many of them like the Huskies...UOducksTK1 wrote:It's pretty natural to start disliking teams that are continually successful and that receive national media attention constantly.

Greetings ducks fans, just thought I'd pop in and say hello. Looking forward to the season opener in Eugene.
Most of you obviously know about VA, but for those that don't know a ton about our program I'm probably a pretty decent source of information, if anyone has questions.
RE: Adams - obviously, I would have liked to have seen him stay at EWU for his senior season, but like most EWU fans out there I don't hold any ill-will against him. I truly hope he gets eligible and earns the starting job at UO. I think the folks that have been critical of him in large part feel like it wasn't the most well thought out plan, and I think that's proven to be true to a certain extent. Personally, my biggest fear for VA is that he doesn't get eligible and misses his Senior year of football. I just hope he takes care of business and gets to play...and I wouldn't be too upset if he didn't earn the spot until your game with MSU.
As for the game itself, I've enjoyed the games we've played against Pac-12 opponents in recent years. We've largely held our own, although none of those games were against Oregon. I'm not going to go out on a limb and predict the unthinkable, but I also think our team will surprise some folks. Eastern Washington will be exponentially better than the FCS teams Oregon has played in the recent past. That said, it might still be over by the 2nd qtr.

Welcome Ranger. Thanks for dropping by. We are cautiously excited about VA. I hope it works out for him and O.
