I really hope its a cornerback. Troy Hill was the breakout player last year. He was our most consistent corner throughout the year and a major reason we made it as far as we did. Besides a CB, I could see Manu sneaking up the chart. All the talk about him being unblockable at camps has me intrigued. On offense, I think one of Addison, Marshall, or Nelson will have all world numbers this year... for half a year, but then Carrington comes back and hits the 1,000yd mark by season's end. He's that good. I know Carrington "broke out" last year, but it sounds like he's making play after play in spring practices, and he just seems to know how to get open.

It's going to be real hard to hit 1000yds, in only 7-9 games.

I don't think I've ever heard our coaches gush so much about the players that they have. So many guys have been praised for their work in the offseason.

Two guys you should keep an eye out for this year: Rex Manu and Gary Baker. Hearing a lot of praise of those two.

He might be the most physically gifted player the Ducks have ever had in the secondary. If he can stay healthy, he has a chance to get a lot of those turnovers that Dargan collected last season.

On offense, whoever wins the backup job at running back will certainly have a chance to shine. Jalen Brown might be a good choice as well. I'm going to pick Mundt, which is more of a hope than anything else. The Ducks desperately need a tight end to step up big with Pharaoh out and I'm hoping Mundt grasps the opportunity.

In summary...

Offense: Johnny Mundt
Defense: Tyree Robinson
I love the Tyree pick. His size is incredible, and I heard coaches say that his hip movement is some of the best they've ever seen. Plus I just love watching him play.

Lol, I wonder how Harrigton would fare now in our offense.

Back on thread, I want to believe one of our TEs will have a great year, but I don't think anyone is up to Brown's standard, especially at receiving.

Everything out there after signing day indicated we got a steal in Baker. Under looked during recruiting because he either missed a good chunk of his JR or SR seasons. Haven't heard his name mentioned in any practice reports or coach/player interviews, but it doesn't surprise me to hear he's doing well. As for Manu, he's been turning heads as well. Excellent motor and moves well for a kid coming in around 315. Big question re both these 2 will be if they play this year or RS. The depth on the DL is as good as it's been in my memory.

My picks for breakout players: Tyree Robinson & Kani Benoit
