6-6 season or worse depending upon how the coaches and players man up the rest of the year.

Wow this thread is depressing. Once we win the next three by 4 TD's each you all will be singing a different tune.

Maybe. But our next three might be our easiest Pac-12 games, so even with low expectations, most people will pick us to win those three games.

Finish 9-3, win the north. Play Utah in the PAC 12 title game. Beat them. Rematch against MSU in the rose bowl. Beat them. F YEAH WE HAVE BEEN AVENGED.
I definitely agree with the 9-3 and getting revenge on Utah and Michigan State. But I think our 1 loss will be @ASU. Kevin Hogan is gonna choke

I'm not going to freak out too much over the Utah loss. There were a lot of factors that contributed to that lopsided score. I'll give kudos to them, but I don't think they're really as good as they looked on that day and we're nowhere near that bad.

That being said, we have to get some consistency on OFFENSE. Yes, the defense needs to step up in a big way, but if we can just use our superior skill players to score consistently we should stay in or dominate most of the games the rest of the way. We absolutely MUST get consistency at QB. That's the key. VA isn't getting the reps he needs to be as good as he's capable of and Lockie is a career backup.

The young secondary will grow, but the offense needs to help them by scoring and keeping them off the field.

I'm almost afraid to do this, but here goes.

@ Colorado = Win.

vs Washington State = tossup (Leach is going to throw 80+ times on our young secondary and they're gonna score. We have to get to the QB and make it a race or we'll lose).

@ Washington = Win (VA should be back by then and we beat the Huskies).

@ Arizona State - Win (Close game, but we're better than ASU. Could go either way, but I'm picking the Ducks).

vs Cal = Win (Cal's good, but they're overrated. They're very similar to WSU, but more balanced. They gave up 43 to Texas)

@ Stanford = tossup (If the offense can score 28-35 points we'll win. If not, we'll lose. They're gonna run it a lot, burn clock and make us stop them. Hogan has been our nemesis. His 3rd down conversions have killed the Ducks every time they've beaten us.)

vs USC = Win (Shocker, eh? I think we'll be much more consistent on both sides of the ball by the time we play this game. I think the Ducks win a close shootout).

vs Oregon State = Win (They're gonna seriously challenge us this year. The Beavers are getting better. I wouldn't be shocked to see an upset here).

I think we'll lose twice more and end up 8-4. We'd likely play in the Holiday Bowl against Baylor, TCU, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State or Kansas State.

If VA comes back healthy like he was against EWU then I think we win another game or two; SC and/or Cal.

The way the defense played in the second half gave me a little optimism, I'm saying Oregon also beats Washington and OSU an finished 6-6 now.

I'm in your camp. Without VA, WSU and Stanford pose the biggest risk. However, I'm not so sure, WSU is any better than Colorado. We'll see but that wideout for UC has been almost unstoppable in conference. If we struggle, I wouldn't be surprised to see VA go in there. Lockie is a bust, he can't read a defense, or throw accurately downfield. Alie, if accurate could provide some hope for the faithful once he starts hitting a couple of strikes downfield.

I'm going to reserve right to change my thoughts after the Cal-Utah game, but with what I saw in last night husky USC game I think we have a good chance at 9-3. We have to get by Cal, Stanford in the North the rest with luck we can win.

If we lose at Stanford, How do we win the north. We would have 2 conference losses. Stanford would have to have 3, since they would have the tie breaker. We have to beat Stanford to win the north.

Depressing or realistic? We suck. We have no talent at QB and our OL can't pass rush. We might win 2 more games all year...if we are lucky.

vs Washington State, Ducks get a bounce back win. They beat Wazzu by a few touchdowns.
@ Washington, We lose and cry.
@ Arizona State, Oregon rests up with the previous weekend off. Oregon looks pretty sharp, and takes the W.
vs Cal, Cal puts up Utah numbers.
@ Stanford, I'll be at the game, but I don't think Oregon will win.
vs USC, Oregon already has five losses, so the crowd knows that Oregon will need their help to upset USC. Upset happens, hope arises.
vs Oregon State, play like this next or or the year after, and OSU would win. Oregon plays sloppy, but wins.

8-5
I don't think Oregon is beating ASU now. I still think we beat USC/OSU.
