The worst defense in THE ENTIRE NATION folks.
Through 7 games we've given up nearly 4000 yards of offense. FOUR THOUSAND YARDS. That's an average of 539yds a game.
Opposing offenses have scored 303 points against our defense. IN SEVEN GAMES. That's a staggering 43 points a game.

Helf has completely lost the locker room. Kids are all over twitter, players quitting during games, its astounding that in 24 months we went from playing for the national championship and having our first Heisman trophy winner to a team who, very likely, won't win another game all year.

This isn't a team who is, "just struggling to adjust to a new coach" guys, this is a meltdown of EPIC proportions. Helf has to go. The program really has no other choice or we will just do it again next season. Helf has no business being a head coach in ANY division one school.
Man, you need to take a step back off the ledge. People repeating the same boring rhetoric even though we can see things changing right in front of us speaks to sheer laziness and general discontent than actually what may or may not be the reality of the situation.

This isn't personal, this is business and Helf has shown a consistent lack of preparation, poor judgement, and his teams lack discipline.
*again, his teams have shown a lack of discipline and focus (penalites specifically)
*no preparation for future seasons. Way to many misses recruiting.
*not understanding how to fit recruits into positions they will excel at
*not having players ready to "next man up"
*not giving recruits the opportunity to play and they leave program
*poor coaching decisions, Pellum and Hoke
*not preparing for future seasons. How in the world did we not see this coming were half our team is freshman?
*offense isn't evolving, its just more of the same and the entire nation has caught on
*no killer instinct, team is flat and getting pushed around. No pride to be a Duck. You have to believe, have some swag! Chips teams believed they were going to win everytime they went on the field.
*our defense. Good lord. No way a program who was getting elite athletes for the last decade should play this bad. This alone should send him packing.

Chip left Helf a national championship squad with a national brand and identity and in 2 years we are winless in the Pac-12. We got steam rolled and embarrassed by Utah at home and blown off our own field. Our dependence on graduate transfers should have NEVER been necessary, so either we wiffed on every single recruit at that position, or they were not prepared to take over when Mariota left. We tied an all time NCAA record for biggest meltdown in bowl history last year at the Alamo Bowl and followed that up this season by getting steam rolled by Washington so bad it hadn't happened since the day before Pearl frikkin Harbor and are winless in the Pac-12, unranked at this time of year for the first time in a decade, and our first 2-5 start since.........did someone say 1986?

This isn't "boring rhetoric", these are facts, and Helf is responsible.

When it's 90% of all topics and repeated over and over again for several weeks it becomes "boring rhetoric".

TRUE! Herbert played off the chain and if we can score 60 every week we might pull out a couple wins. Stanford can't score to save their life so its possible we hold them to 45? That gives us a shot.

If Herbert can get some touch on the deep ball, our O is going to be back to scoring 50+ a game. Something I've wondered, is if Helf took over play calling in the second half. It seemed night and day from the first half, a lot less difficult throws, more high % throws. It's seemed all yeah Lubick has been in love with deep routes, and has gotten away from Chips bread and butter of calling plays that allow the QB to be successful.

They forgot one as Danny O'Neil did it against Stanford in 1994.

But here's the thing people tend to discount, going deep, and having receivers get a tiny bit of separation deep gets safeties to clear out, opening underneath routes. So a few on here whining about it are missing a large part of the larger picture. You HAVE to have that threat and attack it to keep defenses honest.
