Canzano is actually spot on this week, regarding Phil going into the AD's away booth at the Cal game. I truly hope unilateral decisions were made during that little powwow. You should too.

The tough thing about scanning that for teams with good defenses that we could potentially raid a DC from:
-SDSU's head coach, Rocky Long, is their DC
-Utah State's DC was Todd Orlando until last season
-Boise State's DC left for Arizona this year

Looking outside the geographic region:
-BC's DC just went to Michigan
-Southern Miss' DC recently went to Western Michigan

So excluding the service academies, you have Kevin Peoples at Tulane (just joined, so coaching someone else's recruits) and Nate Woody at App State for potential targets.

So Marcel Yates (Arizona's DC this season) wasn't the Boise State DC last year?

I was thinking of Entz, who many wanted as DC. God it confused with Yates. He's still at NDS, really surprised he didn't jump to a bigger program. His D have been great.

Funny, some media tweeted Fresno would be a nice landing spot for Helfrich.

Since Helfrich is being paid 11 million to leave I will come help him pack for Fresno State and only charge him 1 million to do so. That is enough for me to live the rest of my life and will be doing Oregon a huge favor making sure he is gone.

Jim Bartko who was an assistant AD at UO is now at Fresno so that is where part of the Tedford connection comes from. Also Jeff played at and previously coached at Fresno.

Tedford was the QB at Fresno State in the early 80s when the Ducks lost to them by the final score of 10-4. Not kidding.
