We deserve this loss. I can't wait to hear the mental gymnastics used to justify why we are going to keep Helfrich.

Good guy, really. But the network showed an incredible downward trend with yards given up over the last 4 years. Almost 200 yards more per game since 2012. Got worse every year. He should be gone.

He'll say it's out of his hands in a puffed up, nonchalant kind of way. The same demeanor that makes you want to be the Kaishakun when they do make him commit Seppuku.

And the fans reaction as well if Mullens does actually retain Helf, I know I won't attend another game as long as Helf is the coach.

So the rain killed our offense this game. No excuses for the defense tho.

Oh my gosh what a pass from Herbert, sometimes he just is brilliant. How did Helf and Lubick manage to ruin this kid?

EUGENE, Ore. (AP) — Even a driving rain couldn't rattle Oregon quarterback Marcus Mariota.

Mariota threw for two touchdowns and ran for another and No. 2 Oregon defeated California 55-16 on Saturday night in a drenched Pac-12 opener for both teams.

"I've been playing in the rain since I was a little kid. Hawaii has its passing showers," the sophomore quarterback said. "So it really doesn't bother me."

I still don't get the play-action in absolute, obvious passing downs. Does Lubick not have another play?

Hey, another record broken for Helf. We haven't lost to the Beavs in 8 years. All they needed was Helf to help break that record.

What a perfect end to the season.... wide open drop in the end zone on 4th down.
