State your choice!
Ken Niumatalolo from Navy. He's got character, passion and operates a system under restrictions for his players yet still succeeds.

I'll take him over Helf! My choice is Fleck, I know a lot of people's hate his pregame speeches and stuff, but no doubt he's been successful at Western Michigan, I bet he could find the same success at Oregon. We need to bring back the fire that Oregon used to play with.

I hope whoever it is, they have a certain mystique to them. As much as I dig Helfrich as a person, I feel he comes across as too much of a nice guy. Recruits love that swagger and fire that someone like Chip brings. Heck, even Anderson at OSU has that fire that makes players want to play for him.

Fleck as well
Has that Pete Carroll factor to him. Big speeches and one of the best sunshine pumpers you'll ever see.

Do you mean like some of the most crippling sanctions imposed by the NCAA?cesame wrote:Fleck as well

I hate Carroll and USC but those sanctions were bogus.maxduck wrote:Do you mean like some of the most crippling sanctions imposed by the NCAA?cesame wrote:Fleck as well

Well I do miss beating the snot out of teams and hearing their fans cry "gimmick". So ok with me.Duck07 wrote:Ken Niumatalolo from Navy. He's got character, passion and operates a system under restrictions for his players yet still succeeds.

In a conference full of high-powered offenses, I'm not sure a triple-option offense is going to cut it.

I'll be rooting for the 49ers to lose every game by 21+ the rest of the year. So we can hire Charles Kelly.

I doubt he would run it here but I wouldn't mind. Running the ball was the basis for what made us successful previously. Navy has restrictions for how big those players are allowed to get so he's found a way to still be successfulgreenyellow wrote:In a conference full of high-powered offenses, I'm not sure a triple-option offense is going to cut it.

Question on Kelly. Is he a great innovator who can adapt to a changing football landscape? Or is he a one trick pony, a guy who had an idea to play fast (think Paul Westhead at Loyola Marymont) and never adapts?buckmarkduck wrote:I'll be rooting for the 49ers to lose every game by 21+ the rest of the year. Evidence from the NFL would indicate the latter as we haven't seen an ability to adapt to the competition in the league. Would he dominate in college?
