In my humble opinion, this would be the best possible outcome.

I honestly don't see Schiano leaving OSU for a lateral move, but maybe if we could grab Luke Fickell as our DC. His lb's have been pretty good.

The only thing is, he's co defensive coordinator at tOSU. We can remove the "co" tag and give him a pay bump.

The article has it wrong, he's DC and associate HC. If anything it would be a demotion.

I think you'd have a better shot at Schiano, Fickell is a Buckeye to the core. Fickell actually makes more than Schiano and Schiano is only on a one year deal. However, if you get Schiano as a DC, you're getting a guy who will probably leave for a head coach job in a season or two.

it's only a demotion if the pay is the same or less.. But the ducks want to play
with the big boys they are going to have to pay like it..

Google: Schiano Sandusky

There are lots of good DC's out there if you do what LSU and A&M did. (Pay like an MWC head coach gets). Ones that don't make you go Oh Crap when you google their name.

So because Mike McQueary says a guy once told him that another guy (schiano) saw something happen it makes it true? That's hearsay. Whereas McQueary has taken flak for having seen a crime committed and not responding to the proper authorities... Schiano denies the allegation, but that probably doesn't matter, right?

I wouldn't want Fleck by himself. Add Schiano and the rest of the crew and this would be an awesome group of coaches. Though, I wouldn't think this is an ideal situation for Schiano. To fall from the king of the Big East, pushed out of the NFL, brought in as a co-coordinator, and then be the underling to a former assistant. I wouldn't expect him to be around for long, Fleck either.

In a court of law no. But people will speculate and split on who they believe or not. Urban Meyers believes in him and has given him a great job. Others believe McQueary. Penn States paid out millions.

If you hire him it will come up and be widely debated and whether you want to have that debate is a factor in the hiring process.

Fleck and Klieman would be a good pair in my mind. Young, fiery, good, passionate coaches are what we want. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chris_Klieman Klieman will get nabbed soon if some AD at an FBS school has any sense.
