Bill Snyder is Stepping Down (Edit: Not Quite Yet)
So Bill Snyder is alledgedly stepping down as Kansas State Head Coach after 2 amazing stints. Sucks he had to go this way though due to health problems. How worried should we be? Leavitt could be priority #1 to succeed him

Well, first thing is that Snyder is a national treasure.
I have no idea if they go after Leavitt. I know he can go there without a buyout.

After the speacial Kansas St. clause in Leavitt's contract was brought to light, I checked out some Kansas St. boards and they seemed kinda indifferent to even wanting him, thinking he'd be a step down from Snyder while still being pretty old (60+). For having such a beloved old coach, it seemed like a lot of their fans are pretty ageist and want a "young coach."

Seems the odds-on favorite is likely Sean Snyder, Bill's son. I wouldn't be surprised if a name like Lincoln Riley pops up.

Has this been confirmed? I'm not finding anything with lot of credibility.
Sad if true. Coach Snyder is a class act and a great coach.

Not from a legitimate source, but there is rumors going around that he is going to step down.TheHypeIsReal wrote:Has this been confirmed? I'm not finding anything with lot of credibility.

This looks like to be a crap source, but it's worth monitoring for the next day or two.

Thanks. Oddly enough, I tend to find bad team news to be more credible than good team news.scoducks wrote:Not from a legitimate source, but there is rumors going around that he is going to step down.TheHypeIsReal wrote:Has this been confirmed? I'm not finding anything with lot of credibility.

Highly doubt they'll go after Leavitt. There are better options available.

What Snyder has done for college football will never get the credit it deserves. Truly a special dude.

Lincoln Riley would be a great grab for them if this turns out to be true.greenyellow wrote:Seems the odds-on favorite is likely Sean Snyder, Bill's son. I wouldn't be surprised if a name like Lincoln Riley pops up.

Levitt while a great dc, may have to much baggage to ever be a HC again. Some other former KState assistants include Rex Ryan, Brett Bielema, Mike and Bob Stoops.

Darn, I really like Bill Snyder, great coach. And I really liked the dejected and confused look on his face after De'Anthony Thomas returned he opening kickoff for a touchdown in the 2013 Fiesta Bowl.

So I've looked around, and the only one saying Snyder is stepping down, is duck territory lol. Not saying it can't happen, but no Kansas St connected people are saying it.scoducks wrote:So Bill Snyder is alledgedly stepping down as Kansas State Head Coach after 2 amazing stints. That said, if it's up to coach Snyder, and I'd bet he has a big say in things, his son will be the next HC whenever he hangs it up. Players and recruits have been saying Sean will be the next HC there for over a year now.
