Austin Maloata - Austin Peay

Post by StevensTechU »

I was curious where Austin Maloata ended up after getting kicked off the team, and came across this article. Last I remember was him getting pulled over for drunk driving and having meth in his car. Happy and sad to hear that's not exactly the way it all happened.

I've been a driver and have been almost screwed in situations similar to this so I feel for him.

That's not the real story. He was on drugs also.

correct. While there is some truth in that article there's also some major inaccurate ( read false) information. It's not a bad thing this guy is gone.

And he didn't even like it. He just liked the way it smelled.

I've heard meth.

Helfrich wasn't a disciplinarian, if he got a DUI does anyone r ally believe he would have been kicked off the team that fast? No, Helf would have figured a way out to keep him on the team.

The presence of meth was addressed in the article. Have you heard something that refutes that? If so, from where?

Well, let's hope it is all behind him and he's battled and beat his demons. I am in Austin Peay's backyard and meth is everywhere in the South. I'll likely see him at the games and will cheer for him.

247 just had a report that he's been impressive and will see a lot of playing time this year.

I have no idea exactly what happened. But if your buddies abandoned you, left you with stuff you didn't do, and none of your teammates stood up for you and your innocence, then I'm pretty sure it's good luck to you in the future young man. Because you were either guilty or, if truly innocent, not wanted. Take your pick.
