Wow, that's a much larger spread than I expected.

Same here. Sure hope the Ducks aren't worried about living up to such outside expectations, but just doing their job. I'll be very happy if we just get out of Tempe 1-0 in conference.

Sun Devils this season: Arizona State beat New Mexico State, 37-31, in the season opener before losing to San Diego State, 30-20, at home and Texas Tech on the road, 52-45 on Saturday. ASU has lost eight of its last nine games, putting head coach Todd Graham on the hot seat. D.J. Calhoun averages a team-high 10.3 tackles per game, while Christian Sam has averaged 8.7, but neither alone has been enough to improve ASU’s matador-style third-down defense, which is second-worst in the country, or its passing defense, which has allowed 338 yards per game (seventh-worst nationally) in coordinator Phil Bennett’s first season. Upon his hiring in January, Bennett diagnosed explosion plays for touchdowns as ASU’s “nemesis,” but they remain an issue this fall. Only five teams have allowed more 25-yard pass plays than ASU’s 11, and five rushing plays have gained 20 yards or more, as well. Arizona State has been more disciplined with penalties, drawing just 3.3 per game, the third-lowest average nationally. Running back Kalen Ballage has rushed for four touchdowns but just 59.7 yards per game. Quarterback Manny Wilkins, who did not play during UO’s victory last season against ASU, has completed 68.3 percent of his passes for 308 yards per game, with seven touchdowns and zero interceptions — one of 24 FBS quarterbacks yet to throw a pick this season. Wilkins, who held off Alabama transfer Blake Barnett for the starting job, has completed 71.1 percent of his passes for 477 yards on first downs alone, the 12th-highest total in the country. ASU has a new coordinator on the offensive side, too, in Billy Napier, who joined the Sun Devils after five seasons as Alabama’s receivers coach. Josh Henson, the offensive line coach, is co-coordinator.
After reading that, the spread makes more sense.

Anybody know why Faoliu didn't play in Wyoming? Hoping he's back for this one.

Coach said he had an injury, but I heard a close friend of his passes away and that's why he didn't play.

I want to say I read in the Oregonian that he had a foot injury specifically. Maybe they confused him with Pagano?

We should win. Finally we get to face an efficient QB. Lee and Allen were pretty awful, so this will give us a much better idea of how good our D is.

Are you trying to convince us Wilkins is better than Allen?

Not necessarily, but Allen has no toys to play with. Wilkins has some weapons on offense and has been far more efficient.

Wilkins: 300 yards with 2 or more TDs in all three of his game so far
Allen: Against Iowa and Oregon, 120 yards per a game, 0 TDs, 3 interceptions
