Stanford lost a starting LB and their best defensive lineman leading them in tackles on back to back plays from targeting and will miss the first half of next weeks game.

Stanford just had two key defensive players ejected in the 4th Quarter for targeting. They will miss our game.

They'll only miss the first half, not the whole game.bdkipe wrote:Stanford just had two key defensive players ejected in the 4th Quarter for targeting. They will miss our game.

My bad. I thought it was 4 quarters. I stand corrected.

I know Stanford isn’t the Stanford of old but they still have a stout front 7 on defense, though hopefully the two guys out for the first half will hurt them, but with the OLine struggles and the offense since gameplay to run it up the middle mostly, I have a hard time seeing the offense finding a lot of success. I sure hope I’m wrong though!

In order to steal one of these games(I think UCLA/Utah are our best shots) we're going to need some more help from special teams. Need a blocked punt, a Kick Return, something else to help out the offense.

I wonder if our starter will be BB or TA.
Willie Taggart is a dick.

I have to think they're going to use this situation to get BB all the playing time they can get him so would be shocked to see Allie get the start.

I would be shocked as well. Don’t need more one year ‘bandaids’. Need to groom the future QB’s so they don’t always have a huge drop off when a QB goes down.EncinitasDuck wrote:I have to think they're going to use this situation to get BB all the playing time they can get him so would be shocked to see Allie get the start.

I honestly like our chances better in this game than against WSU. I think BB will have a slightly better feel for the game, Stanford's defense isn't as good as WSU and I think our D will do better than expected against Love.

I agree. You've already unboxed him so might as well get the most experience you can with him. As the team has shown us a lot of grit so far this year it's easy to forget this is a transitional year with the new staff. No coincidence they're playing so many Freshmen they recruited. You can see they believe in their system and the players they recruit to fit it. I like the approach of throwing the young guys right into the fire, should pay dividends over the next few years.Everythingsducky wrote:I would be shocked as well.
