Oregon dodged a bullet

Post by maxduck »

I watched part of a UCLA game earlier this year where the announcers repeatedly talked about how undisciplined the UCLA receivers were. Today a pregame segment showed multiple players dropping passes that hit them in the hands. During the game UCLA's receivers certainly didn't stand out against true freshmen DB's. The wide receivers coach, Jimmie Dougherty, would have been on the Oregon sidelines if not for the DUI incident last winter.

You say this as if Oregon's WR play as been anything other than bottom of the barrel.

You got to have somebody able to actually get them the ball before you truly judge them.

We dodged a much bigger bullet by not getting Matt Rhule.

We really did. That program is in pretty bad shape but could easily have given the death penalty for all the stuff they tried pulling under Briles and the school administrators.

To be fair, our WRs struggle to get open and are generally inexperienced.
