What leads you to believe Rob isn't and why would a public statement assuage your fears?

Perhaps Mullens has been handling this as well as I could hope for. I did not call for a public statement, every thing that Taggart has said in the last week has been nothing but positive. My post, hoping that Mullens is doing everything he can to make sure that Taggart doesn't leave, is nothing more than hoping a field goal attempt goes down the middle.

We have seen this across the country when it comes to college football every year My concern is while this is a part of the business of being a good football coach we also have seen a number of coaches who one day say all the right things to players and media and maybe fans then the next day or week leave the program. I am not saying that Taggart leaves after one year. I think he still needs to prove he can coach at a power 5 school. His play calling and second half adjustments or lack there of when did not have Herbert leaves me some concern. I have seen too many coaches say one day are staying only to leave a week later to suddenly trust Taggart 100%.

To me him wanting to leave does not make much sense. He has only been here a year and while he might be able to recruit at a high level the jury still out on coaching at a power 5 school. The lack of half time adjustments and play calling cause concern.

Dude can recruit for sure. His coaching is suspect at best. No halftime adjustments? How many games did we go without a score in the second half again? His play calling when Burmeister was in was awful. Why not have the team learn a few plays Burmeister was familiar with from High School since he couldn' run the Oregon plays? Why the same run play over and over again and reversed for Royce when Burmeister was QB. We looked quite pedestrian in a few games there...

Let's see what the recruiting class looks like come signing day. The jury is still out.

God, I hope Chip goes to Florida. PLEASE don't go to UCLA! I don't want any part of Chip Kelly. I especially don't want this staff -- with a weakness so far being in-game adjustments -- needing to beat Chip Kelly most seasons.

Sounds like Chip will be patient and listen to schools but I think he's going to Florida. I think Kevin Sumlin will end up in UCLA.

Would rather Chip went to Floriday but i am not to worried about him At UCLA.
They do not have the deep pockets to afford everything he will ask for. And he
was good here because it was innovative and very few teams were ready for it.
Now everybody is doing it and defending against it.
