No Sumlin . .. No Wilcox . .. No Harsin. HIRE Cristobal!!

1. Most current DUCKS want him!!
2. Top recruits ( still committed ) want him!!
3. Can recruit with the best of them.
4. Hire Heyward as D/C, keep Big Joe.

Lets give Mario and all these young coaches a try. These guys have energy that young players love. Maybe this football team can benefit with some young blood ( coaches ) and reading all the twitter from current players and possible incoming recruits they WANT too play for coach Cristobal. I hope we give this man a try and keep our young and up in coming assistants. Thoughts?

sorry guys ... but I'm on a mission to give Cristobal and our young staff a try. I don't want older coaches like Sumlin coming in. I want a fresh new start, and so do our current Duck players. GO DUCKS!!!

Don't be sorry.. Cristobal might not be the big splash but there really isnt
any out there. Unless they all of a sudden spend a ton on a sitting coach.
Give Cristobal a good salary with incentives and a buyout that keeps him here.
Give him the funds to keep current coaches and bring in the top notch assistant
coaches and this train just might get rolling. They say he really likes it here. He wants to
be a heasd coach again so this is a great place to stay.
He also hopefully has a better catch line then "Do Something" that may be the deal breaker..lol

I agree with everything except the DC hire, I'm just not going to get on the will Leavitt stay or go roller coaster, had enough rollercoaster with Taggart's exit. May the Ducks fans need to go Tennessee fan base on Mullens! Lol

I'm in the same boat at this point. MC came across to me as a potential HC when he was hired. I like all your points, but I don't know enough about Heyward. By all accounts, I hear that he is really good and has the makings of a potentially great DC. Not sure how the AD will feel about that considering our last DCs before Leavitt.

My biggest worry is Mullens. He has an ego and everyone trying to steer him
to Cristobal may go against us. If he gets this one wrong there may be not
only a recruit and player exodus that puts the ducks in a bad place. Plus Mullens
job security may be in jeopardy.

Interesting situation here. The recruits and current players are painting Mullens into a corner. I’d be curious what happens if he goes against them?

If true, I expect the guys to be singing, "VIVA, ROCK VEGAS", next Saturday, as they hoist a trophy... Can we get a "cristobALLIN" theme song?

Bring on the recruits!

Not at the risk of having a bad defense. We need someone with a little more DC experience, IMO. Plus, I've heard Coach Joe is okay with staying as DL coach with Cristobal.

Neither has Heyward though. If we need to hire a new DC we're gonna have to hire from outside if we want DC experience.

I believe Heyward was in the box with Jim last year and Jim should stay until KSU finally offers him the HC job. He hasn't said or done anything like WT has so the bridge certainly hasn't been burnt. If FSU wants him, he should at least make them pay up for it if he's going to just be a hired gun DC.

With another good year of building an Oregon defense, Leavitt would likely still get noticed for a HC job. just as he would in coaching in the ACC at FSU. I'll be disappointed if he leaves but I certainly understand his motives.
