According to ScoopDuck, Oregon will be hiring former Alabama assistant Bobby Williams as the new ST coach. He was formerly Alabama's TE/ST coach before being moved to an off-field position by Saban so he could hire some other coaches in 2016. His hiring now leaves one spot left to fill, with it either being another OL coach to help out Cristobal or more likely a TE coach.

Edit: Duck Territory is saying that Williams will be the TE/ST coach, which means the last spot is likely going to an OL coach who'll work closely with Cristobal. According to DT, Williams will be making $300K per year.

According to Greif's articles about the hiring process, Cristobal is going to get a bit creative with the 10th hire. From the way it's worded, it sounds like GA Cody Woodiel is going to see a major increase in responsibility when MC has to do more HC duties during certain periods of practice and that the 10th assistant could likely be used to augment whichever position or side of the ball they think needs extra help.

Williams signed a two-year contract with Oregon worth $300,000 annually Wednesday.

I would say that the offense is the side that definitely needs more help with an extra coach due to the unproven nature of our OC.

Here's the official announcement for Dennison and Williams that confirms Dennison is OLB coach, Williams is just the ST coach and Donte Williams has been moved to CB coach: http://goducks.com/news/2018/1/26/footb ... staff.aspx

OL: ??? (likely Cristobal and GA Cody Woodiel)
DC/ILB: Jim Leavitt
DL: Joe Salave'a
OLB: Cort Dennison
CB: Donte Williams
S: Keith Heyward

Interesting no comment about Bobby coaching tight ends in that article. With his background pointed out if assumed he would coach Special teams and tight ends

I wouldn't be surprised if Gilby takes over as the TE coach.

Not sure I like the idea of the head coach and a GA coaching the offensive line, so hoping they hire an OL coach.

K-State's defensive coordinator has retired.

I doubt Leavitt would leave for that position, but if they offer him head coach in waiting it would be something to keep an eye on.
