Looking around on twitter and was seeing a lot of stuff from fentress...says he covers Oregon but man he seems to loathe a lot of people (Oregon people). He also seems to be getting called out a lot. Question is ...this guy usually this much of a tool? Thanks for any answers

Yea, I think he’s worse than Canzano, but Canzano gets all the crap here. Fentress thinks he’s pretty cool.

You know why he who shall not be named gets so much crap here. He basically went on a multi year attack on the program while Kelly was coach.

I think it's that his shtick is to simply play the contrarian. Oh, this coach is having a banner start, let's use that to talk about every little thing that isn't outstanding!

I think a difference between AF and JC is Twitter. JC really doesn't spend a lot of time on Twitter, sticks with radio/TV. AF is very active on Twitter, and like we see on "Talkin' Ducks" he is always stunned when something he states isn't agreed with completely; as he believes his is always the "objective" view.

AF is a clown. 0 respect for him as a journalist or a person. That is how I feel. You can be a journalist and still have dignity and respect for people and fans. AF has neither and I would not be sad at all if he was fired today and we never heard from him again. Rumors are that his CoHost Bri, hates him and only puts on a good face for the camera.

Exactly, I stopped following him on Twitter but saw an exchange between him and Wrigtster yesterday. Fentress' tweet started with

"When I start caring what you think I'll let you know... " Then went no to say how the Oregon FB program is worse off today than when Helfrich was coach, blah blah blah.

Fentress is a clown but a clown who also peruses this board as well as the other pay sites to help craft his argument to be contrarian. Just one of the new breed of confrontational journalists with fiery hot takes and “dont argue with me, I play/coach semi-professional football” garbage.

CSNNW canned Isaac Ropp for much less than the path Fentress went down with the porn star. But hey, whatever gets you clicks and retweet’s.

I mean I guess I understand why he thinks he's such a football genius because he's had some success at the semi pro level coaching. The only problem with that is that every year his team is generally an all-star team playing against the little giants (without junior and the icebox)

Don't even get me started on the clowns he is coaching against. The majority of coaches in semi-pro football are an absolute joke and don't know s*** about football.

I've come around a bit on JC; he definitely has a schtick but it's pretty transparent and mostly harmless anymore now that he's not trying to crucify Chip. Fentress is a full-blown tool of the highest degree. He assumes the role of the smartest guy in the room, regardless of who else is in the room.

I usually go easy on these media dudes because of the nature of their jobs. Even Canzano doesn't really get me too worked up. He is what he is. But Fentress is an idiot.
